Michael Clements serves as the Assistant Vice President for Finance and Technology for University Services at the University of Minnesota. In this role, he provides strategic direction and operational oversight for finance, information technology, enterprise systems, project management and capital budgeting. 

Michael directly leads a team of 110 professional employees with a $15 million operating budget, while orchestrating financial operations for seven major system level units totaling approximately $435 million in annual budgets. His portfolio includes the University Services Project Management Team, directing long-range financial modeling for construction and real estate, and serving as treasurer for the University District Alliance and three University-owned LLCs. 

A champion of technology innovation and structured process improvement, Michael holds an M.S. in the Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota’s College of Science & Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Business/Organizational Management. His robust technical credentials include a PMP certification, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, and CPP/CPPM designations from the American Purchasing Society.
